International Aid

Those who utter banal soundbites and rely on slick PR techniques in an attempt to convice The World of their compassion have had their day.

Some of this planet's self-styled 'greatest' leaders wallow in the plaudits of their supporters and those they support while doing little to justify their carefully contrived image.
A true festival of mutual masturbation exists in the upper echelons of some governments.
There would not be the national sperm shortage that the media has recently revealed if Mrs Mop and Mrs Test Tube were allowed access to the aftermath of some gatherings of International leaders.
President Bush of The United States and I have come together in a concerted push to break with this tradition.
It is time not to just paper over the cracks that have been exposed in these meetings but to fill them with something more solid and enduring.

Actions speak louder than soundbites.

That is why I have always supported immediate ripostes to the vacuous calls for immediate action - as lasting solutions last and immediate solutions rarely do.
These rare occasions are so few and far between that the good and the great must not waste their God-given resources and time to try to replicate these miracles.
Not when there is ethereal light at the end of the circuitous tunnel that is global politics.
It is tempting to sometimes opt for immediate action to save lives but we must think long-term.
Sacrifices have to be made and I am painfully aware of this.
Sometimes progenitors must unfortunately die to ensure the future of their unborn children.

How can we help minimize these instances, these blips on our humanitarian radar ?

We, The World with the help of the staff and facilities of Tony Blair International Airport can help those generous enough to provide International Aid with the best facilities any Ayrshire international airport has to offer.

Aviation fuel, an adjacent military facility and vending machines providing a wide range of ethnic produce (including Hershey Bars and nylons for the natives) are available to those cleared for aid delivery.

Please mark your preferences clearly on the necessary forms and we will do our best to accomodate you and your cargo.
The forms takes very little time but, if the recipient of your aid cannot afford the slightest delay, we can consider waiving the procedures and backdating the paperwork.

Whether it be genetically modified maize for Africa, spare parts for Israeli agricultural machinery, restraints for Saudi Arabia, Basmati (TM) rice for Nepal or surplus cotton for the impoverished T Shirt producers of Mali, Tony Blair International Airport can play a vital role.

We look forward to hearing from you.
